The old St. Nikolai church (spire) on Hopfenmarkt
was destroyed during World War II,
the ruins left to stand as a memorial.
 

St. Katharinen Churchwas built 1350-1420.
A statue of St. Katharine crowns the 115m high spire.
 

The famed Arp Schnitger organ, built in the 14th
century, in the St. Jacobi Church.
 

The groundstone for St. Petri Church on
Monckebergstrasse was laid in the 12th century and
completely rebuild after the Great Fire in 1842.
