St. Michaelis Church
 

The main church St. Michaelis (known as Michel) was built from 1751-62 and is the most important
Baroque church in North Germany. The Michel is truly the symbol of the Hanseatic City.
The 132m high tower offers an excellent view across the harbour and the town. You can either
climb the 450 steps or pay 4DM for the lift. Definitely worth it!
